* Girls Basketball

The girls concluded their season last week in subdistrict play.  The Bravettes battled Wisner-Pilger on Monday night fighting hard and coming away with a 44-40 victory.  On Tuesday night the girls had a rematch with the Stanton Mustangs and fell short ending their season.  The girls have a lot to hold their heads high about this year.  Thank you to everyone that was a part of this team and to the seniors for their years of dedication and commitment.

* Boys Basketball

The boys had a long week of practice preparing for subdistricts starting this week with only one game Friday night taking on O’Neill.  The JV were victorious in their last game of the year while the Varsity came up short in their efforts.  Good luck this week boys!

* Junior High Boys Basketball

Our Junior High boys played Pierce; the 8th grade boys won while the 7th graders lost. The Boone Central Tournament on Saturday was a great team effort; the 8th grade won their game against Madison and lost to BCNG. The 7th grade won their game against BCNG’s B team and lost against their A team.

* Wrestling

The Braves competed in the state wrestling championships this weekend in Omaha.  As a team the boys brought home 3rd place.  Individually, Heller, Lade, and Thompson finished 4th; Heimes 3rd; and McCracken and Kersten finished as State runners-up.  The Braves will be competing in the state duels competition this coming weekend.  Good luck boys!

* Speech

The BC Speech team had their annual BC Brave Classic meet this weekend. The varsity placed fourth in some very tough competition, earning 5 varsity medals, including 4 champions. In JV competition, the team was victorious. The next meets will be on Friday the 23rd at Lutheran High Northeast, followed by the Mid States Conference meet at home on Saturday the 24th.
