Course Description:  Earth Science is an introductory course into the structure of the Earth, history of the Earth, and the Solar System.  Students will become familiar with science lab equipment, safety procedures, and the scientific method as they conduct lab activities and carry out experiments.

Course Description: This course studies life at all levels, from microorganisms to ecology.  It will discuss the interrelation of structure and function of cells and organs, the biochemical processes involved in life, and the inheritance patterns found in living things.  This class is designed to prepare students for further study in science-related fields or for making decisions as citizens of a changing world.

Course Description: Explore and investigate the interrelationships of the natural world, identify and analyze environmental problems, both natural and human-made, evaluate the relative risks associated with these problems, and examine alternative solutions for resolving and/or preventing them. Students will participate in hands-on, laboratory and field investigations to apply scientific principles, concepts, and methodologies in order to better understand our natural systems and to critically think about environmental issues and potential solutions.
