Happy Friday Everyone!

Learning or doing something new does not come without challenges, trials & errors, and definitely failures.  I have had the pleasure of experiencing all of these as a new superintendent.  I also have been blessed with opportunities to build new relationships, learn new things (both personally and professionally), and broaden my perspective of education.  Above all else, I have found enjoyment every single day.  It is all about perspective and personality. For some people, when doing or learning something new, they tend to focus on the difficulties, errors, and failures.  They see these things first and foremost and allow them to consume their thoughts, influence their actions, and at times prohibit progress.  Their mindset becomes fixed on floundering and their fear of failure becomes paralyzing. Those of us who view challenges, errors and failures as learning experiences and opportunities for growth are able to find value in our vulnerability and live fearless of failure.  Our experiences give us growth and do not define us.  Our mindset may not be entirely glued in growth, but we tend to end many statements with "yet".  This "yet" keeps the door open to deepening our development and enjoying the ever changing world around us.
