Happy Friday Everyone!
I've mentioned this many times, but as a reminder: did you know it is almost impossible to be in a negative state when showing gratitude toward someone else? Many of us will be giving thanks next week over a turkey dinner. While we are giving thanks for what we have, who we have, or where we are; we can also give some gratitude to those who have helped us, inspired us, or shown us the way to our success. Just last week I sent a note of gratitude to a few people who have filled my bucket more than a few times during my time in education. My intentions were not to receive anything in return. They were honest and genuine. As we prepare for a short week and a day of Thanksgiving, take a moment to give some gratitude to the special people in your life. Let them know why they are significant to you. Giving gratitude costs you nothing and will lift the spirits of others and create positive feelings inside and out. Give some gratitude with your Thanksgiving before the tryptophan kicks in.
