Wyatt James Schmitt, son of Tim and Julie Zlomke, attended First Christian Preschool before coming to the Battle Creek Public Schools in kindergarten. He is a member of First Christian Church.
Wyatt was active in football for four seasons and wrestling for two. On the gridiron, he was a leader, chosen by his teammates as captain during his senior season. Wyatt earned three varsity letters in football and was selected to the All District squad this past fall. He also earned a letter in wrestling and served as a Trailblazer during the past two years.
Outside of school, Wyatt works at Jerry’s Sinclair.
When asked to name a favorite instructor at BCHS, Wyatt listed Mr. Ryan Heller, stating “He cares so much about his students.” Wyatt mentioned that he enjoyed how Mr. Heller painted his classroom special colors to enhance learning.”
Wyatt has enlisted in the Air Force and will leave for basic training following graduation.
