ELVPHD Risk Dial Update: Week ended 11/9/2020 3.21 Red.  Our current percent of all BCPS students & staff positive cases is less than 1% at .67%.  Our current percent of all BCPS students & staff quarantined is 5.4%.   Due to these low numbers, we will continue with regular school.  We will require masks.  We will continue social distancing.  We will continue regular hand washing/sanitizing.

BCPS will be restricting spectators at all JH/High School activities. The following guidelines will be in effect beginning 11/10/2020 until further notice:

Spectators & Activities:

  • Spectators at activities will be limited to only immediate family members living within the same household of the student(s) participating in an activity with a maximum number of 4 household members per student participant.

  • Households must sit together and maintain 6 feet of separation between household groups.

  • Masks are required

  • Concessions will be available

  • By following these guidelines, we will keep our capacity within the required 25% per the governor’s new DHM which is in effect until November 30.

  • Visiting spectators will follow the same guidelines.

In addition, we will not have cheerleaders, dance teams, or pep bands at winter activities. Cheer and dance may schedule separate performances that are not in conjunction with other winter activities. Band already schedules separate performances throughout the school year.

I realize that a household does not include extended family like aunts, uncles, and grandparents. It is my hope that this restriction is temporary and will not last the entire winter season. Although it is an inconvenience for extended family members, please remember that we want to keep our students participating first and have fans in the stands second.
