Summer School Begins July 15 Just a reminder for those of you received information about Battle Creek Public's Jump Start Reading Program for elementary students. The summer school program will begin July 15th and go through July 26th. Check the schedule below to see when your child’s class is scheduled. Students entering: July 15-19th & 22- 26th - Grades 2nd & 3rd from 8:00- 9:30 July 15-19th only- Grade 6th from 9:30-11:00 July 15-19th & 22- 26th - Grades 4th & 5th from 11:00-12:30 July 22-26th only- Grade 1st from 9:30-11:00 Students are asked to enter the building through the south doors. Lessons will be held in the Title I Room.

Due to inclement weather, Day 1 of the Class C Boys Golf Championship in Kearney has been cancelled. The Championship will now be an 18-hole event tomorrow - Wednesday, May 22nd. Tee times & pairings will remain the same.

Landon Olson placed fifth in the high jump (6’2) and Zach Zohner placed fourth in the pole vault. Zach cleared 14-04 which broke the school record that was held by dad Kevin.

Reminder to Girls and Boys Track parents, track banquet will be held at 5:15 on Wednesday night before JH programs at both schools. There will be no potluck or ice cream social due to time constraints. Look forward to celebrating another fantastic year!!

We are excited to announce that Jonah Heng has accepted the head coach position in our Cross Country program. Coach Heng was a former standout at Norfolk Catholic, winning an individual state championship in XC in 2016. Jonah is excited to get to work with the runners of BC!!

Athletic Banquet is Friday at 6:00 p.m. Everyone attending and planning to eat must sign up in HS office and get a ticket! Senior athletes eat free, 9-11 athletes are $5, and all parents and guests are $10. The meal is chicken fried steak catered by Goodies Grille.
Late Thursday evening the Bravette tack team captured their 4th team title of the season at the West Holt Invitational. The team scored 99 points to outpace runner-up Ainsworth by 19 points. Gold medalist were Makenna Takke in the long and triple jumps and the 4x100 relay team of Shelby Obst, Patyn Taake, Madi Taake, and Makenna Taake. It was a great day to be a Bravette!!

Dear Parents, Students and Staff, Thank you for your continued support of the annual book fair at Battle Creek Public Schools. We sold $4627.38 worth of books this year. We went $1100.00 over our goal. This means that we put approximately 588 books in the hands of students. In the elementary building we were able to purchase 308 additional books with our profit. That is approximately 900 books for children to enjoy and use to grow their imagination and knowledge. When their Spring Trip was cancelled due to flooding, the BCHS Honor Society didn't reschedule but donated $500 to the Lutheran Ministries Disaster Relief Assistance for BC community. The BCHS Student Council matched these funds, doing the same thing! That's #BCPride and #BCFamily
