Staff used several platforms to share learning such as; Google Classroom, Seesaw, Readworks, Accelerated Reader, iXL, Classkick, Spelling City, Lexia, Zoom, and our district web page. Title I lessons were shared with Title I students; these lessons included the use of Literacy Lesson Interventions(black and white books sent home) with students in grades Kindergarten and First. Students in grades 2-4 were assigned nonfiction reading through Readworks. Students were assigned an Article-A- Day activity and a 5 Question Set Article weekly. Teacher was able to grade and reply to student’s assignments. The classroom teachers in grades K-4 also shared their Seesaw accounts with the Title I teacher so she could monitor and comment on the Reading and Language Arts activities completed by the Title I students. The Title I program depends on strong communication skills and cooperation among staff. This e-learning quarter ran smoothly because of continued cooperation and concern for student shared by staff.

Ch 47. Ravi explains that he knows the answer by stating, when you are firends with someone you know them better tahn "what meets the eye."
Ch. 45 Joe wrote a not to Ravi. Beware!... They went to the library as a class so the janitor could come in and clean the room. Ch. 46 Dillion goes back to the room and Joe's plan is set into action. Dillion is going to be one sorry camper.

43.Elocution is about keeping vocal identity but becoming clearer, vocally stronger and more impactful in conversation. Elocution lessons would help with Public Speaking, One Act Plays, Drama, Speech and Debate.
42.Dillion thinks theat Ravi cheated becasue he does not know what leeches have to do with the quote"Quitting is not an option". And he is not willing to listen to Ravi's explanation. Oops, sorry I spelled leeches wrong in a previous question!
41. Dillion thinks the game is too easy yet he gets the answer wrong because he never takes the time to really get to know other people. He is too concerned about himself.
39. No Dillion is not playing correctly. I am annoyed by him and I think the students in his class are too. Some might think he is funny but most kids probably think he is mean. 40. "I know that look" means Dillion is going to steal something. Maybe the leaches! Icky!
37. Grandpa calls leeches "draculas" because leeches attach themselves to animals and take blood from their bodies. 38. Joe knows it was Ravi becasue he saw him take a double nut m&m out of the jar in the resource room.
More Ideas: Students could also join together to perform a skit, write and sing a rap song, write a poem or a choral read and perform that or choreograph an interpretive dance. The possibilities are endless. Use your imagination
Project Ideas for "Save Me A Seat" Students could bring a drawing or poster to school during this week. These will be displayed in the Multi-Purpose Room. Be sure to spend time on the project make them neat, detailed, and interesting. Remember these represent your family.
Chapter 49 What happens at lunch today? Share your thoughts about the ending of this story. Don't forget to start bringing your projects in next week.
Chapter 48 What does Joe mean by “now that I know it’s possible for a couple of zebra’s to outsmart a crocodile life is starting to look up.
Chapter 46 Who goes back to the classroom? What happens? How do you feel about that? Chapter 47 Ravi pulls the next card and guesses correctly. Mrs. Beam asks how he knew the answer. What is Ravi’s response.
Chapter 43 What are elocution lessons? What activities at the high school uses elocution skills? Chapter 44 Joe knows that Ravi has been a good friend to him. What do you think Joe is going to do to help Ravi out? Chapter 45 What did Joe do to help out Ravi?
Chapter 40 How has Lucy’s opinion about both Dillion and Ravi changed? What does Ravi mean when he says, “I know that look.” Chapter 41 Dillion thinks the game is too easy, yet he answers wrong. Why is he wrong? Chapter 42 Why does Dillion think Ravi cheated?
Chapter 39 Is Dillion playing the classroom game correctly? How do you think the other children feel about him at this point? Not all students will think the same thing. There are probably many ideas going through people’s minds. Explore all possibilities.
Reread page 188 and hold a family discussion. What does Ravi secretly do to help Joe out? Chapter 38 Joe is surprised when he looks in his dish. How does he know who put it there?
Chapter 35 What is Ravi going to do now? Chapter 36 What does Miss Frost always say? Chapter 37 What does Ravi say the students in class say about him? (to his grandfather) What does Grandfather call “draculas”?
Last set of Questions for the book, Save Me A Seat. Chapter 32 What a frustrating event! What is your take on this? Chapter 33 What will Ravi do next? Chapter 34 What kind of relationship does “Superstar” have with his parents?
Ch. 32 Joe is feeling rotten becasue Dillion took his blue M&M out of his dish. It makes me angry. Ch. 33 I think Ravi may be able to help. He has something from Ms. Frost's room.
Ch. 29 Ravi's mother brings him to school becasue he has a cold and he has his project. Ch. 30 Amma surprises Ravi when she gives him an option to either eat his cold lunch or try the cheese pizza.
Ch. 28. The quote is "Writing can change the world". Joe now understands the meaning because his father wrote him a heartfelt note and Joe feels the love. Ch 29 Kan drishti means the evil eye. Why is it always the grandmother that has the evil eye.
Ch.27. Perimma wants to know about the cartoon in the book bag and the bruises. Amma also wants the truth. Perimma feels useless and unwelcome in America and thinks Ravi is embarrassed by her.
Ch. 26. Joe's parents now know: Joe hates that kids and teachers think he is not samrt. He hates being afraid to raise his hand inclass to answer questions. He hates being the tallest in his class. Most of all he hates Dillion Samreen.

What is the weak spot that Joe discovers about Dillion? Dillion can't take it when people laugh AT him. Joe thinks Dillion looks like a chipmuck with full cheeks. This makes Joe laugh when Dillion is threatening him.
Chapter 21: Ravi must have been very similar to Dillion Samreen when he was in school in India. He tells us that he thought he was better than others. He tells us that he was mean to kids that were not as smart or not as athletic. He might be getting a little of his own medicine at his new school in America.
What happens when Ravi is up to bat? Oh boy, I could see that coming. I am not liking the way Dillion Samreen behaves. He is naughty and mean spirited.
Why does Ravi think he should be picked first? He thinks because he was good at sports in his other school people should want him to be on their team. What is tennikoit and Kho Kho? I looked in the glossary and found the answers. Before I did that I guessed. I was pretty close with tennikoit because I used the base word tennis. I was way off on Kho Kho.
Chapter18: Do you thinks Ms. Frost knows what kind a person Dillion can be and what he is doing? I think she has a really good idea of the way Dillion treats people. You can fool some of the people all the time, you can fool all of the people some of the time but; you can't fool all the people all the time.
