Happy Friday Everyone!!

Second to last Friday for the 18-19 school year!!  It is hard to believe, but tomorrow we will be graduating our seniors and sending them out on a new journey.  Some graduating without a true understanding of the impact we have made in their lives.  An impact that will not be fully realized for many years. But rest assured that every single one of us has made a direct or an indirect difference in their lives.  We should all feel a sense of pride and accomplishment for what we do for kids every day. There is no measurement for this influence, no standardized test score, or grade. Sometimes we don't even know how significant of an impact we have made until we cross paths with a former student and they let us know.  The simple things like saying good morning, or thank you, or nice to see you make a huge difference in a kid's day. We all do these things day in and day out because we are teachers, relationship builders, and just flat out love our students.  The positive impact these interactions have are worthy of acknowledgment, especially during teacher appreciation week. We don't allow a student or colleague to pass by without some kind of positive or constructive interaction. It is because of this that our students feel loved, cared for, and appreciated, even if we don't see any immediate reciprocation.  Every single one of us should pat ourselves on the back for the pride we take in our work, the energy that we give to make BCPS great, and the immeasurable impact we have on students!

Happy Friday & Teacher Appreciation Week!!
