Musical Note

Happy Friday Everyone!

There are very few people who can perform perfectly in their first attempt at something brand new.  As the son of two music teachers, I can vividly remember what it felt like to sight read a piece of music.  There were numerous mistakes, stops & start overs, and time spent patiently waiting while different sections practiced a certain number of measures.  Sight reading music was clumsy, mistake ridden, and slow paced.  However, each day of practice yielded fewer mistakes, better togetherness, and a faster pace.  Over a relatively short period of time, what started out as a jumbled mess of mistakes turned into an excellent example of musical togetherness.  Regardless of the mistakes made along the way, with enough practice, patience, persistence, and togetherness, we can make magnificent music!

Happy Friday!!
