Happy Friday Everyone!

Webster defines leading as having great importance, influence, or success.  According to this definition, we are all leaders. We all have great importance and influence.  Our individual leadership roles within our whole school and community are significant and are essential components of our commitment to excellence.  We have leaders everywhere in our buildings, many of which are not validated by a title or position, but validated by the influence their words or actions have on others.  In a perfect world, we would function at the optimal level at all times with no room for improvement. All of our students would be achieving at their highest potential and exceeding all of our expectations.  We know this is not accurate and does not happen 100% of the time. However, knowing this should not keep us from continually developing our own leadership skills or helping others develop theirs. We are all leaders and use our leadership to make our school better every day. Take advantage of leadership opportunities. Use them to have a positive influence over those we serve. The positive influences you will have leading will far outweigh the scrutiny from those who are unwilling to lead.
