Happy Friday everyone!
Service can be defined as the contribution to the welfare of others. There is no higher service than serving your country in the military. For many of our area veterans, their service did not end when they finished serving in the military. Having a desire to serve is not bound by any form of timeline. I know a number of former military veterans who are now farmers. Their focus of service transitioned from protecting our country to the service of feeding the world. I also know a number of teachers and administrators whose service transitioned from protecting our country to serving and educating our children. Having a service centered mentality means you have an internal desire to contribute or provide for others. An unwavering commitment to the greater good. On this Friday before Veterans Day, I am grateful and thankful for the men and women who provided their service to our country and for their protection of our wellbeing. I appreciate their service in our military and the continued services they still provide today!
