Commonly asked questions

Can girls team members watch the boys play, and vice versa?

-Yes, they will sit together in a designated area, masked up.

Can boys team members’ parents watch the girls play, and vice versa?

-No.  Parents/household members are expected to watch their child’s game only.

What about split families?

-Each competitor can have up to 4 household members attend.  Split families can each attend, but the number of people attending for that athlete should not exceed 4.  The school will not determine the attendees so please have this worked out prior to the game.  We will have to turn away anyone that shows up after 4 is reached.

Can JV players’ parents/household members watch the varsity contest if their child is not on varsity?

-No.  Parents/household members are only allowed to watch events/contests in which their child is/could be an active participant.

Do we need tickets, or how do we enter the game?

-Our plan to start is to have the rosters at the front gate.  When a household member arrives, the ticket taker will place a tally mark by that participant’s name.  Once 4 tally marks are reached, no more household members will be allowed to enter.

What about the time between JV boys game and Varsity boys game?

-There will be wait time between these games.  Parents will be expected to wait until the varsity girls game is over before entering for the varsity boys game.  Boys’ parents will not be admitted to the game until the varsity girls game is completed.

Are grandparents considered household members?

-Unfortunately, no they are not.

All events on the road will be under the regulations of the host school.  Most will vary slightly, but the majority of our conference schools are following a similar plan as BC.

All guidelines subject to change as we learn more and see ways to improve our plan while following the DHM.

Thanks for adhering to these so that our students continue to get a chance to participate!
