Three Fingers

Happy First Friday of 21-22 Everyone!!

The start of a new school year is always exciting and energetic and this year is definitely no different!  This enthusiasm and excitement can fade at times when we feel like we weren't as successful as we thought or when adversity hits.  However, there are 3 ways to ensure success at school.  These 3 things apply to anyone and everyone(students, staff, parents, and administration).

  1. Take ownership.  Own your successes and own your problems.  Ownership allows you to identify your role within something you don't like and it gives you the ability to spend time exploring solutions rather than laying blame on others for your problems.
  2. See the good.  In every situation there is learning to be had which means there is good to be seen.  See the potential for learning and growth in the problem and identify ways to make it better.  It is impossible to see the good and complain at the same time.
  3. Be grateful.  Show gratitude toward others.  Appreciate and acknowledge effort, attempts, and perseverance.  Be persistent in pursuing what you want but grateful for what you have.

3 ways that are sure to help us maintain our energy and enthusiasm for doing what we do - being the most successful school possible and maintaining our commitment to excellence!

Happy First Friday!!
