Happy Friday Everyone!
"If you think the grass is greener on the other side, then jump the fence and find out for yourself!" This was a common statement I heard from my parents when I was complaining or envious about something during my upbringing. It is common for people to think that things are better somewhere else when looking from their current perspective. In reality, the grass is green on both sides of the fence. The greenness depends on the amount of effort and care put forth to maintain the grass. Even the greenest of grass requires consistent care and maintenance. Without it, the greenness will fade, weeds will take over, and it may become unmanageable. In addition, if you stand in the same place of perspective for too long the grass beneath you will die. This is why we are always looking for ways to be better, see from a different lens, and stay focused on our own grass. Thus, we have the greenest grass around. The greenest grass doesn't equate to state titles or perfect ACT scores, however, it does equate to strong relationships, high expectations, and a culture committed to excellence.
Happy Friday!!
