Recipe for Success

Happy Friday Everyone!

Many people enjoy cooking/baking.  They find satisfaction in preparing a meal or baking a dish that others enjoy or that they enjoy themselves.  In my limited experiences being around others who have similar food preparation passions, I have seen two kinds of cooks - those who follow recipes and those who deviate from recipes.  Both, however, tend to create fabulous food.  A well known fact about recipes is the quality of ingredients is significant along with the love and attention paid to the process.  Another well known fact for those of us who deviate from recipes is that deviation stems from our personal taste preferences.  We add ingredients that compliment the recipe but also compliment our taste buds.  When it comes to food, it is easy to understand why recipes are tweaked, modified, or slightly changed to better appeal to the consumer.  One could make the direct correlation between recipes and schools.  If we look at school as our basic recipe for learning, then adjust our ingredients of teaching strategies to appeal to our consumer students, and apply love and attention to the process, excellence will ensue.   This definitely sounds like a recipe for success.

Happy Friday!!
