criticism

Happy Friday Everyone!!

When you hear the term criticism do you think of something good or something bad? Most would say something bad or something negative.   We tend to link criticism to doing something wrong.  It is true that we live in a world of constant criticism.  You can hear it on the radio, see it on the news, and find it almost anywhere on the internet/social media.  In fact, I would go out on a limb and say for some people this constant criticism results in a decrease of doing.  The doers refrain to avoid the criticism.  This is exactly what these captains of criticism want to happen.  Think about it.  Seldom will you be criticized by someone doing more than you.  Criticism will always be a byproduct of working hard, continuous improvement, and operating with a growth mindset.  These fixed minded, constant critics strive to stifle our success or postpone our progress.  Their efforts, however, will end in failure.  The fix minded failure that does not lead to learning, but leads to quitting.  Our thick skinned growth mindset can not be cut by criticism and our growth minded failures will only further fuel our motivation to move forward.

Happy Friday!
