purple christmas tree

Happy Friday everyone!  In keeping the tradition from last year, here is my first attempt at poetry for the stretch between Thanksgiving and Christmas for the 21-22 school year:

Two Weeks and Three Days

Two weeks and three days, seems far away

But before you know, it’ll be Christmas day

Two weeks and three days, the most we will make

Work hard for the tests you all will soon take

Two weeks and three days, a lot to get done

Our nose to the grindstone, the end some fun

Two weeks and three days, the snow stay at bay

We like the sunshine and warmth for the day

Two weeks and three days, we’ll work till the end

Then we can enjoy some family and friend

Two weeks and three days, which list is your name

The Naughty or Nice, one’s actions to blame

Two weeks and three days, by Monday two less

Answer the questions, study hard, don’t guess

Two weeks and three days, the last bell will ring

Rest and relaxation, the break will soon bring

Two weeks and three days, there’s no time to rest

All we have to do is give it our best.

Two weeks and three days, committed we’ll stay

Excellence we’ll see in our work and our play.

Two weeks and three days, Merry Christmas you’ll hear

Upon our return, 2022 will be here!

Happy Friday!!
