words have power

Happy Friday everyone!

It is always prudent to remind ourselves and others about the power of our words.   As parents, grandparents, teachers, administrators, friends, family members, etc. our words have tremendous power and influence.  Our kids, especially our younger kids, have this amazing way of becoming exactly who we tell them they are.  If we tell a child he/she is strong from a young age, he/she will become strong.  If we tell a child he/she is kind, he/she will become kind.  If we tell a child he/she is capable, he/she will become capable.  If we tell a child he/she can learn anything, he/she will develop a growth mindset.  If we tell a child he/she can fail and still get better, he/she will be willing to try.  The words we use with our children actually speak life skills into our kids.  These words will develop a growth mindset, perseverance/grit, and strong resilience, which is exactly what it takes for our children to handle their own lives one day.

Happy Friday!
