Happy Friday everyone!
They call me (insert your title here). Your title could be mom, dad, coach, teacher, friend, boss, team captain, teammate, etc. Whatever your title, you need to come to the realization that you are the decisive element for your family, team, classroom, friendships, etc. Your approach to everything creates the climate. Your daily mood and interactions make the weather. You have the power to make it or break it. You have the power to make life miserable or full of joy. You can be a tool of torture and pain or a source of inspiration and encouragement. You can hurt or help, humiliate or humor, harm or heal. In everything, everyday, it is your response that decides whether a conflict or crisis will escalate out of control or de-escalate. In everything you do, every day, you impact how others believe in themselves or doubt themselves. You impact whether they live, work, and play with peace and confidence or live, work, and play with anxiety and fear.
The original title to this post was "They Call Me Coach". I paraphrased some of this because every word of this can be related to any title, not just coach. We started this year talking about making and impact, and these words are true for everyone. Everyday we decide our mood and how we will interact with others. Everyday we can choose to inspire and encourage. Everyday we can choose to be helpful. Everyday we can find our humor. Everyday we can choose our impact.
