Happy Friday everyone!
A major part in being committed to excellence is operating with a growth mindset and being mentally tough enough to handle setbacks, challenges, and adversity. A strong and positive mentality takes effort to maintain. I came across a post on social media that immediately caught my attention because I see these same things happen frequently throughout our schools. The post was titled Six Things Mentally Strong People Do:
- They move on. They don't waste time feeling sorry for themselves.
- They embrace change. They welcome challenges.
- They stay happy. They don't waste energy on things they can't control.
- They are kind, fair, and unafraid to speak up.
- They are willing to take calculated risks.
- They celebrate other people's success. They don't resent that success.
I appreciate and admire the mental strength we demonstrate as a school and community. A strength that continues to fuel our continuous improvement and helps us hold fast to our commitment to excellence.
Happy Friday!
