After a tough day of competition, the Bravettes finish as Mid State Conference runners-up, and the Braves finish as the Mid State Conference champions! #BCpride
We also had a few students join the 1,000,000 word club, which is a huge accomplishment!
The students joining the 1,000,000 word club this month were Blakely Wells, Cali Wintz, Braelyn Beckenhauer, Annalilia Gallegos, Joshua Ottis, Regan Seifert, and Emily Oestreich!
Battle Creek Elementary would like to recognize some students that joined our 'AR Word Clubs' during the month of April.
1st and 2nd grade students that joined the 100,000 word club were Shelton Anderson, Suttyn Hess (Not Pictured), Brysen Jeffrey, Bowen Rogat, Rexx Uecker, Treven Thompson, and Isaiah Weed.
1st and 2nd grade students that joined the 250,000 word club were Bentley Kuchar, Gannon Ogden, Blake Sovereign, and Grayson Trice!
3rd-6th Grade students joining the 500,000 word club were Brooklyn Brummels, Dalton Olson, Mark Oestreich, Madison Ricchio, Lillee Tucker, and Thomas Wemhoff!
3rd-6th Grade students joining the 750,000 word club were Unitius Baldwin, Sabra Kinglsey, Zane Kuchar (Not Pictured), Hunter Olsen, Braylon Beal, Kylee Henn, Grace Meredith, Joshua Ottis, Cole Seifert, Axton Altwine, Treighton Higby, and Alaina Rogat!
These students were all recognized for their great efforts and are continuing to work toward the next word club they can join!
Battle Creek Elementary is proud to recognize our Student of the Month, Class of the Month, and Student of the Month Nominations for the month of April.
The Student of the Month for the Month of April was Hunter Sonnenfelt! Hunter is a student that exemplifies what it means to meet expectations, as well as do his best on a regular basis. He takes pride in his academics and in meeting the behavioral expectations at Battle Creek Elementary School. Hunter a good friend to all other student in his class, but he also isn't afraid to stand up for himself or walk away when he knows the behavior around him isn’t what it should be
Our Class of the Month for April was Mrs. Seifert's 3rd Grade Class! They are a class that is just ‘steady’ in how they approach each and every day. They do their work to the best of their ability and they’ve shown steady improvement throughout the year in all areas of the school. Each member of Mrs. Seifert's 3rd Grade Class is an integral part to the success of the class, as a whole. The April Class of the Month supports each other and works hard to meet all the expectations their teacher places in front of them each and every day!
Along with our Art awards, we also honored two individuals that placed in the top 2 in the area for the Norfolk Daily News Ad Contest. Peyton Tillotson placed first in the 5th grade division and Alaina Rogat placed 2nd in the 6th grade division!
We also honored our Art Student of the Month Nominations (By Class), the Overall Art Student(s) of the Month (Miana Sudbeck and Grant Mozer), and the Art Classes of the Month (Mrs. McCracken's Kdg. and Mrs. Mettler's 1st Grade)!
On Friday, April 29th, Battle Creek Elementary hosted our Monthly Assembly to recognize great efforts by students and staff during the month, draw for awards, and to discuss both our outgoing April Mission and our incoming May Mission. Pictured below are our April Birthdays, as well as the winners of Lunch with the Principal, Brownies and Ice Cream (not pictured is Kamden Kuchar), and Class Extra Recess!
The Braves and Bravettes are competing today in conference action in track and field and golf! Come out to Evergreen and Battle Creek High School to cheer on our BC athletes! #BCpride
