New Vocal Music Instructor at BCHS

The students of Battle Creek will have a new vocal music instructor this coming fall: Miss Abigail Robinson. Robinson will replace Miss Laura Johns who is leaving the school after six years.
Robinson grew up in Norfolk, Nebraska, and attended the Norfolk Public Schools before earning her post-secondary education at Wayne State College.
Robinson stated that she has always been involved in music. In high school, she participated in choir and show choir in addition to performing in jazz and marching band. While at Wayne State, she was a member of the concert choir, the wind ensemble, the clarinet ensemble, and the drumline.
Robinson mentioned that she had very influential music instructors in high school who sparked her interest in a career in music herself. She stated that she loves helping people and wanted to do it in something she is good at: music.
Robinson mentioned that she applied for the Battle Creek position because of the close-knit community and because she liked Battle Creek’s motto: “Committed to Excellence”.
