Our last Hall of Fame bio for the Class of 2022 goes way back yet again. Nearly shutting out every opponent, this group was one of the most feared teams in the state. Please welcome the 1967 Football Team to the BCPS Hall of fame! https://www.battlecreekschools.net/page/hof-67fb

Our September Student of the Month was Grace M. Grace is a student that constantly does what is right and regularly works to do her very best. She does what is expected without her teacher(s) having to tell her and she is a great role model for her classmates, as well as everyone else in the school. Grace does great things at Battle Creek Elementary without ever expecting a reward or to be recognized for it, which might be the best quality she showcases. She knows what to do and she simply does it. Our September Class of the Month was Miss Hasebroock’s First Grade Class! They are a class that works hard to meet our expectations and even when they mess up, they own their actions by ‘Pointing the Thumb’. The students in Miss Hasebroock’s class try their hardest in their classroom and they are constantly working to show improvement both academically and behaviorally. Miss Hasebroock does a great job leading her class and modeling our expectations, which creates a great atmosphere in the classroom. Pictured below are our September Class of the Month (Miss Hasebroock's 1st Grade Class), our September Student of the Month (Grace M.), and our September Student of the Month Nominations.

Battle Creek Elementary recently held their September monthly assembly. The assembly consisted of celebrating September birthdays and rewarding students for positive behavior via drawings. We also honored our September Class of the Month and September Student of the Month, as well as August/September Art Students of the Month! Our mission for the month of September was to 'Point the Thumb, Not the Finger'. This meant taking responsibility for our actions (both good and bad) and working on owning what we do rather than pushing blame on others. Pictured below are our September birthdays, as well as the winners of Brownies and Ice Cream with the Principal (Shayla G., Michael M., Elena W., Braylee E., Hadlee T., Mila M., Everly B., and Teagan A.), Class Extra Recess (Camden S. And Caleb A.), and Lunch with the Principal (Easton S.).
