Classes use critical thinking to attempt to save Sam the worm from his capsized boat. Their hands could only touch the four paperclips during the rescue. Each group did a great job or working the process. Sam was successfully saved by a majority of the groups.

7th grade determine ways to save Sam and fill out their first lab report.
Sophomore classes use knowledge and teamwork to determine the best way to slip the life preserver on Sam.
8th grade enjoys their opportunity to rescue Sam so they can later demonstrate the food chain.

Summer School Begins July 15 Just a reminder for those of you received information about Battle Creek Public's Jump Start Reading Program for elementary students. The summer school program will begin July 15th and go through July 26th. Check the schedule below to see when your child’s class is scheduled. Students entering: July 15-19th & 22- 26th - Grades 2nd & 3rd from 8:00- 9:30 July 15-19th only- Grade 6th from 9:30-11:00 July 15-19th & 22- 26th - Grades 4th & 5th from 11:00-12:30 July 22-26th only- Grade 1st from 9:30-11:00 Students are asked to enter the building through the south doors. Lessons will be held in the Title I Room.
