Jadyn Nicole Buckendahl is the daughter of Preston and Niki Buckendahl. She attended St. John Lutheran School in Battle Creek before coming to Battle Creek High School at the start of her freshman year. Jadyn is a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Battle Creek. Jadyn participated in volleyball and basketball during all four years of high school and ran track for three. While out for track, she compete in the Norfolk Track Classic all three seasons. During her junior and senior basketball seasons, Jadyn received a few Player of the Game awards. She was also voted as a captain by her teammates for her senior basketball season. For multiple years, Jadyn received votes for Most Improved Player, an honor bestowed at the athletic banquet. For her efforts in athletics and academics, Jadyn also received numerous scholar-athlete awards. Outside of athletics, Jadyn was a member of FCCLA, Trailblazers, and the National Honor Society. She has been on the A honor roll throughout high school. When asked to name a favorite class, Jadyn stated yearbook because she “enjoyed how relaxed the class was and taking pictures at events.” Jadyn mentioned that her fondest memory from her time at BCHS was competing in the homecoming games and lip sync battles. Outside of school, Jadyn enjoys hanging out with friends and family. On Fridays, she goes to Bank First for the work-based learning program where she is employed as an intern. After graduation, Jadyn will attend the University of Nebraska at Lincoln to pursue a bachelor's degree in business.

Gavin Olson, son of Scott and Beth Olson, attended Battle Creek Public Schools for all thirteen years of his education. He is a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Battle Creek. Gavin was active in football and track and field for all four years of high school. Aside from athletics, Gavin was involved in speech for four seasons. He served as one of the speech captains this past winter and claimed a fifth place medal at the state meet with his Oral Interpretation of Drama teammates. Gavin was also active in quiz bowl for four years and served as a captain for two. He was a member of the National Honor Society as a junior and senior, serving as the Historian last year and the President this year. Gavin was also involved in band during all four years and qualified for all state band. He was a Trailblazer for two years and in student council for one year. Gavin represented Battle Creek at the Nebraska Boys’ State last summer. He served as his class’s president during all four years of high school. He has been honored as Student of the Month and Character Student of the Month on many occasions. When asked to name a favorite teacher at BCHS, Gavin named Mr. Junior Aguilar, stating “I love his constant enthusiasm and support whether in the classroom, on the field, or at speech. He’s got that dog mentality.” Gavin also listed his favorite subject as science. He said, “I love learning about the why and discovering the world around me. Every day, I could learn and experience something new.” When asked to name a fondest memory from his time in high school, Gavin mentioned all the homecoming games. He said, “I love to compete, and I always enjoyed doing it alongside my classmates.” Outside of school, Gavin enjoys hunting and fishing. He also likes to golf in his free time. After graduation, Gavin plans to attend the University of Nebraska at Kearney. While there, he wants to become a high school biology teacher.

Conner James Neuhalfen is the proud son of Jerod and Sheryl Neuhalfen. He’s a Battle Creek native, attending Battle Creek Public Schools from kindergarten through senior year. Conner is an active member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church where he finds community and faith. Throughout high school, Conner participated in football, wrestling, and track. His hard work and commitment in the classroom also earned him a spot in the National Honor Society. When asked to reflect on his favorite teacher, Conner named Mr. Junior Aguilar whose science class became his favorite subject. According to Conner, the best memory from his time at BCHS was when he and his wrestling teammates clinched the state championship. Outside the classroom, Conner balances working at Vic’s Engine Repair and serving as a summer lifeguard at the Battle Creek Public Pool. Looking ahead, Conner has big plans. After graduation, he will attend the University of Nebraska in Kearney, where he plans to pursue his dream of becoming a cardiovascular perfusionist. He will dedicate himself to a career where he can combine his passion for science with wanting to help others.

Samantha Jo Wemhoff, daughter of Jake and Angie Wemhoff, began her education at Jefferson Elementary in Norfolk, Nebraska, attending from kindergarten through third grade. She then moved to Des Moines Christian School in Urbandale, Iowa, for fourth through sixth grade before completing her education at Battle Creek Public High School from seventh grade through her senior year. She is a member of Northern Heights Baptist Church in Norfolk. Throughout high school, Sami was actively involved in athletics and extracurricular activities. She was a four-year member of the volleyball, basketball, and track teams, and she served on the student council throughout high school, where she served as Vice President her senior year. Sami participated in FCCLA for three years and was a two-year member of FFA, speech, and Trailblazers. In athletics, Sami earned letters in all her sports. In basketball, she was a three-time all-conference selection, received honorable mention as a freshman, and earned Elite 8 First Team and All-State Honorable Mention recognition. In volleyball, she was named to the Mid-State All-Conference team, received honorable mention, and was recognized as Newcomer of the Year her freshman year. When asked to name a favorite teacher at BCHS, Sami named Mr. Jeremy Weidner, noting that he always encouraged her to do her best and made every conversation enjoyable. Her favorite class was yearbook; she loved taking photos of school activities and enjoying Mrs. Angela Gray's delicious snacks. Some of her fondest high school memories will always be from competing in district final basketball games, where she cherished traveling with friends and making lifelong memories. Outside of school, Sami enjoys spending time with family and friends; working out; playing the guitar, piano, and ukulele; and shopping. She also stays busy as a CNA at Community Pride Care Center in Battle Creek, serves as the assistant manager at the Battle Creek pool, and works as a lifeguard and referee at the Norfolk YMCA. After high school, Sami plans to attend Wayne State College, where she will play basketball and pursue a degree in pre-nursing. She hopes to become a pediatric nurse.
