Battle Creek Public Schools will be hosting an Opioid presentation on Thursday April 13, 2023 in the high school gym at 6:00 pm. Parents and community members are encouraged to attend. Students in grades 7-12 will have the same presentation during the school day.

Jacob Bradley Ottis, son of Amanda and Brad Ottis, attended YMCA Preschool before he came to Battle Creek Elementary to start kindergarten. He has remained in the district ever since.
Jacob was active in both football and track during all four years of high school, and he competed in wrestling for three seasons. He served as a team captain of the football team during his senior season. Jacob also lettered in football and wrestling three times each and four times in track. He is a two-time state qualifier in track in the shot put and discus. Jacob also qualified for state wrestling as a senior.
When asked to name a favorite teacher at BCHS, Jacob listed Mr. Andrew Carlson, stating, “He is a fun guy, and I always got some good lifting in.” Jacob added that his favorite subject in school is history.
Outside of school, Jacob enjoys lifting weights, eating, and playing video games.
After graduation, Jacob plans to attend Wayne State College where he will play football and major in business.
