
Wyatt Nierodzik, son of Ed and Jennifer Nierodzik, attended school in Tilden from kindergarten through eighth grade before coming to Battle Creek his freshman year.
Wyatt participated in football for four seasons and wrestling and track for two. Aside from athletics, Wyatt was involved as a Trailblazer and went on Blaze days with younger classes, serving as a mentor to them. He was also a member of the Battle Creek Quiz Bowl team.
When asked to name a favorite teacher, Wyatt listed Mr. Kobe Lade. Wyatt mentioned that math was his favorite subject in school. Wyatt’s fondest memory from his time at BCHS was Mr. Taylor Baumert’s 8th period class his junior year because “you never knew what was going to happen.”
After high school, Wyatt plans to go straight into the workforce. He plans to work in construction.


Logan Dean Lutt is the son of Lyle and Neisha Lutt. Logan attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Norfolk before coming to Battle Creek High School at the start of his freshman year. He is a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Norfolk.
Logan participated in numerous activities throughout his high school career. He played football for all four years, golfed for three, wrestled for two, and ran track for one. He was also a member of FFA, mock trial, and quiz bowl for two years. Logan listed his favorite teacher as Mr. Ryan Heller, stating, “He has a good and engaging classroom. He makes math fun.” Likewise, Logan mentioned that math was his favorite subject. When asked to name his fondest memory from his time at BCHS, Logan said that he liked wrestling duals because “all eyes are on one match, cheering and celebrating.”
Outside of school, Logan enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping. He lifeguarded at Aquaventure in Norfolk for three years and at the Battle Creek pool for one. He also has done some roofing and snow removal to make a few extra dollars.
After graduation, Logan plans to attend Northeast Community College for two years to major in pre-engineering before transferring to South Dakota School of Mines. There he will pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.


Zion Daivid Baier, son of Jason and Aron Baier, started his education at Picotte Elementary School in Omaha. He attended middle school at Alice Buffet in Omaha before coming to Battle Creek Public Schools for the remainder of his education. Zion listed his church affiliation as Lutheran.
Zion was a four-year member of the cross country and track teams, and he participated in wrestling for two seasons. Aside from athletics, Zion participated in speech, quiz bowl, FCCLA, and student council throughout high school. He served as the class treasurer as a freshman year and vice president as a junior.
Zion earned varsity letters in cross country and speech. For his efforts in the classroom, he was honored with an Academic All-State award in wrestling and cross country. He was also a state competitor in cross country. Zion was a STAR competitor in FCCLA. Outside of school, he participated in scouting.
When asked to name a favorite teacher, Zion mentioned Mr. Wojtolewicz from Alice Buffet School, stating, “He started my love for math.” Zion said math was his favorite subject because he is good at it. He added, “It gives me a feeling of accomplishment and a physical goal to reach for.” Zion mentioned that his favorite memory from his time at Battle Creek Public Schools was state cross country his junior year because of all the memories made with his teammates.
Outside of school, Zion enjoys staying active and playing video games. He currently works at Nucor as an electrical engineering intern.
After high school, Zion will attend either the University of Nebraska at Lincoln or South Dakota School of Mines. He plans to study mechanical engineering.

Jaid Wehrle and Sami Wemhoff had the privilege of playing for Team Nebraska at the Battle of the Border All-Star game in Yankton, South Dakota today. They represented the Bravettes well and it was fun to watch them compete again! 🏀 #BravetteHoops

Ryan Kade Stusse, Jr., son of Ryan and Kalee Stusse, has attended Battle Creek Public Schools for all thirteen years of his education.
Ryan was involved in football for three seasons, cross country for one, and wrestling during all four years of high school. For his efforts on the mat, Ryan finished high school as a two-time state champion, and he served as team captain both his junior and senior years. When asked to name a favorite memory from his time at BCHS, Ryan stated that winning the state title with his teammates this past winter will always be remembered fondly. Aside from athletics, Ryan was a member of FFA for three years.
When asked to name a favorite instructor at BCHS, Ryan listed Mr. Cody Wintz, stating, “He is funny, and I can talk to him about anything.” Ryan named his favorite class as weights because he didn’t have to do any homework.
Outside of school, Ryan works at Cenex Harvest States in Wausa, Nebraska, a job he has held for three years. In his free time, Ryan enjoys working, riding dirt bikes, and working on his truck.
Ryan is still unsure about his plans after high school, but he hopes to pursue a career in diversified agriculture or ag business.
