1 yr ago I challenged these ladies to hang a plaque in the championship ring at BC, last plaque was ‘95 for the girls. The team finished 7th (highest finish since ‘94 title)and we added 2 names to the ring! Memories I will cherish for a lifetime! Darn COVID-19

Battle Creek Public Schools (BCPS)
E-learning 4th quarter of 2019-2020 School Year
Title I
BCPS District
Due to Health Safety Measures during the COVID-19 Outbreak BCPS staff devised E-learning review lessons based on the curriculum that was taught in the first three quarters. Staff used several platforms to share learning such as; Google Classroom, Seesaw, Readworks, Accelerated Reader, iXL, Classkick, Spelling City, Lexia, Zoom, and our district web page.
Title I lessons were shared with Title I students; these lessons included the use of Literacy Lesson Interventions(black and white books sent home) with students in grades Kindergarten and First. Students in grades 2-4 were assigned nonfiction reading through Readworks. Students were assigned
an Article-A- Day activity and a 5 Question Set Article weekly. Teacher was able to grade and reply to student’s assignments. The classroom teachers in grades K-4 also shared their Seesaw accounts with the Title I teacher so she could monitor and comment on the Reading and Language Arts activities completed by the Title I students. The Title I program depends on strong communication skills and cooperation among staff. This e-learning quarter ran smoothly because of continued cooperation and concern for student shared by staff.

BCPS weight room will open on June 1 for students with restrictions. Sign up schedule will be released today via email to 11th/12th grades at 11:00 am and then to 7-10th grades at 11:30 am. Siblings should sign up for same times. Sanitization and safety will be a high priority.
