Tonight’s Fall Food Drive pick-up reminded us how strong our community truly is. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support in helping those in need this season!

This Friday is the registration deadline to get your 1st or 2nd grader signed up for Battle Creek's Early Bird Ballers League! Teams will consist of 1st and 2nd graders mixed together. If you are from Battle Creek, you do not need to worry about assembling your own team - Ryan Heller will divide teams as evenly as possible. If you are from another town, you will need to assemble your own team. The game day schedule will be released after the registration deadline and the total number of teams is established. BONUS - On the last game day, there will be a Free Throw Contest to win a Black Magic Coffee gift card (one for girls and one for boys)!! They have great smoothies! The high school basketball clothing order is up and will close down November 20th at 10am! No late orders will be received.

If you won’t be home, feel free to leave a sack of nonperishable items on your front porch for pickup. Every donation—big or small—helps support families in our community this holiday season.

BCHS One Act attended the 1st annual Tri-County Theatre Workshop today! Joining Summerland and Plainview, the team had the opportunity to perform and workshop their show with two incredible State Championship-winning coaches! 6 Students brought home outstanding performer awards: Brody Maurer Presley Wolf Tristan Ray Nick Kreikemeier Jonas Carter Jaiden Ertzner The team returns to action at the Wausa Swedish Festival on Monday, November 17th at 1:00PM!

The JH wrestling tournament at Wayne tomorrow has been POSTPONED due to a gas leak in their school.

A huge THANK YOU to Project ADAM at Children’s Nebraska and the Acklie Charitable Foundation! Thanks to their incredible generosity, Battle Creek Public Schools has received five new AEDs. We’re so grateful to have these lifesaving devices available in case of an emergency!

Reminder! Tuesday is the final day for students to bring in food items for Class Wars to see which class can make the biggest impact for our local food pantry! This friendly competition includes students from Pre-K through high school — every item counts!

That evening, our high school students will be out for the annual door-to-door food drive, starting at 5:30 PM, collecting final contributions.
