Maximus (Max) Christoph Cremers, son of Anette Cremers, began his educational journey at Windmill Point Elementary School in Port St. Lucie, Florida, where he attended kindergarten through second grade. He continued his studies at Manatee Academy in Port St. Lucie from third through seventh grade before coming to Battle Creek High School, where he has remained ever since.
Max participated in One Act Play Production for three years and FFA for two. In addition to his extracurricular involvement at BCHS, Max earned several honors, including a Brave Award, Character Student of the Month Award, and the Chef Award in Foods.
Outside of school, Max enjoys hunting, working, and spending time with his girlfriend. He is employed as a ranch hand and also operates his own mowing business. According to Max, his favorite teacher Mr. Billy O’Brien has made a lasting impact on him, especially through welding class, which has become his favorite subject. After graduation, Max plans to pursue a career in welding with Vulcraft, where he looks forward to building a successful future in the trade.

Karley Ann Freudenburg, daughter of Brett and Amy Freudenburg, attended Trinity Lutheran School and St. John Lutheran School before coming to Battle Creek High her freshman year. She is a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Battle Creek.
Karley was a four-year member of volleyball and basketball where she served as a team captain for both sports as a senior. She participated in track for two seasons. Karley was a two-year member of student council and Trailblazers and served in National Honor Society during her senior year. Karley also held class officer positions, including treasurer her freshman year and secretary her sophomore and junior years.
When asked to name a favorite instructor at BCHS, Karley named Mrs. Jenni Frey, stating that she is so supportive. Karley noted that she felt she could talk to Mrs. Frey about anything and felt comfortable doing so. Karley listed her favorite subject as Spanish, adding that BCHS is very fortunate to have teachers with the experience of being exposed to Spanish culture, which makes the class enjoyable and interesting to learn about.
Outside of the classroom, Karley works at multiple jobs, including Poppy’s Pumpkin Patch, Black Magic Coffee, and as a lifeguard at the Battle Creek Pool. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, going to church, being active, and making fun memories.
After high school, Karley plans to attend Northeast Community College where she will study Pre-Professional Radiologic Technology. She will apply to radiology school afterwards.

Olivia Ann Chapman, daughter of Rob and Lexi Pommer and Brian and Lindsey Chapman, attended Yutan High School and Lutheran High Northeast before coming to Battle Creek this past fall. Olivia is an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Olivia participated in cross-country, basketball, and track and field during all four years of high school. She is a four-time varsity letterer in all three sports. For her efforts in cross country, Olivia was voted Best in Battle following her senior season. She qualified for the NSAA state championships at Kearney in 2025, and she served as one of the team captains in the fall. While at Yutan, Olivia and her basketball squad were state champions in 2024. She also qualified for the state meet in track and field in Yutan, competing in the 4x400 meter relay.
When asked to name a fondest memory from this past year at BCHS, Olivia stated that qualifying for state in cross-country was “the proudest I had ever been of myself.” She added, “I’ve never been more happy.” When asked to list a favorite BCHS staff member, Oliva chose Mr. Jonah Heng, her cross-country coach. She said, “He really cares about his students and pushes them to be their best.” Olivia listed her favorite class as Digital Media because she likes having her own little spin and creative mind on things.
